The inverter will supply your consumers mainly with energy from the photovoltaics. If there is excess energy - it can be stored in storage batteries. For example, if the photovoltaics produce 5.5kW and your consumption is 3.5kW, the remaining 2kW will accumulate in the batteries.
In the event of a grid failure, the inverter will supply the consumers with energy from the photovoltaics and batteries. If the photovoltaics produce more energy than the consumption - the surplus can be stored in the batteries again.
Owners of existing systems can add this inverter to them and thus expand their systems with a battery pack. In this example, in the presence of excess energy (the green line), the photovoltaics feed the consumers in the house and charge the batteries at the same time. In the case of consumption (the blue line), the power supply to the consumers is obtained through the photovoltaics and batteries.
